POWERSOLO (DK/ USA)

POWERSOLO is an active group that records and tours internationally and extensively in Europe and the United States, South America and even Tunisia and South Africa, as well as appearing on several soundtracks for TV commercials for French SNCF and Renault Clio cars but also in films and TV series, including the Danish/Canadian crime drama Himmerland and the American TV block buster series True Blood and American Horror Story and in 2024 POWERSOLO’s international hit song Boom Babba Do Badabba got placed in Guinness Beer and the Premier League commercial and campaign (!) BOOM!!!
POWERSOLO who also toured as backing band for Jon Spencer (Heavy Trash / Blues Explosion) and Andre “Mr Rhythm” Williams (Bacon Fat, Mustang Sally) and who describes their sound as “Donkey Punk”, is characterized by an often hectic and fast-paced mix of garage, punk, psychobilly, surf and world music. This pathos leans heavily on a psychedelic blues-based rock sound, which is often recorded with what one might call utilitarian, obscure or often primitive instruments and technology. This gives their recordings a very authentic-sounding vintage aesthetic.
POWERSOLO is working on a sequel to “JAMBALAYA – EXTRA SPICY” (released on Crunchy Frog, 2023)
Their new album “Rip it” will be released in April 2026.
