DEECRACKS (A)
Formed in Vienna in 2003, DeeCracks have grown from local upstarts into one of Europe’s most dedicated punk rock exports. Known for their infectious Ramones-inspired sound, tight harmonies and relentless touring ethic, the band has played more than 800 shows worldwide and released an extensive catalog including eight full-length albums, numerous EPs, singles, splits and compilations.
Originally performing under the name The Cretins, the band quickly built a following in Austria and beyond. After releasing their debut album in 2007, a copyright dispute forced a name change to DeeCracks — a turning point that coincided with intensified touring across Europe and their first North American
run.
Over the years, DeeCracks established a strong international presence, performing throughout Europe, the USA, Canada, Mexico, Japan, China and more. Their high-energy live shows have seen them share stages with bands such as NOFX, Bad Religion, Descendents, Teenage Bottlerocket, CJ Ramone, No Use for a Name and many more.
Key releases like “Attention! Deficit Disorder” (2010) and “Beyond Medication” (2014) helped cement their reputation in the international punk scene. In 2017, the band collaborated with Detroit rock’n’roll icon Nikki Corvette before signing with Pirates Press Records. Since then, they released “Sonic Delusions” (2018) and “Serious Issues” (2021), further expanding their global reach.
To celebrate their 20th anniversary, DeeCracks released “20 Years. A Frantic Effort” (2023), featuring 28 re-recorded songs from across their catalog. In 2024, they teamed up with Andrea Manges to cover the Ramones album “Brain Drain” in full.
Their latest album, “True Nothing” (2026), delivers 18 new tracks packed with buzzsaw guitars, catchy hooks and heartfelt lyrics — proof that even after more than two decades, DeeCracks continue to evolve while staying true to their fast, melodic punk rock roots. With relentless touring, tight musicianship and an undeniable passion for classic punk rock, DeeCracks remain a must-see live act.
