THE DICTATORS NYC do it again!

single imageTHE DICTATORS were founded in 1973 in New York City and had a great influence on countless rock and punk bands ever since together with bands like MC5, New York Dolls and The Stooges. After not playing for years, 3 guys from THE DICTATORS, the lead singer, Handsome Dick Manitoba, the lead guitar player, Ross The Boss, and the drummer, JP “Thunderbolt” Patterson, decided to answer the call from the fans from all over the world who had been asking the band to come back and play. They thought this music, that meant so much to so many, should not be put to rest.
So they went out and got the best, most fun bass player they knew, a man by the name of Dean “The Dream” Rispler, and they added a guitar player with a great punk rock pedigree, a man who wrote songs with and produced albums by THE RAMONES. That man was Daniel Rey. So was born: THE DICTATORS NYC!!
In 2014 and in May 2015 the band rolled over Europe and now they are back again in November! If you missed this band, go catch them at one of their shows! Its pure energy, it carries you away, its simply RocknRoll at its very peak!

And on top of these wonderful news the band just released a brand new single called “Supply and demand”!
The fans demanded and the band supplied! After almost 15 years since their last recording, The Dictators NYC have delivered us a smashing new single! Handsome Dick Manitoba, Ross The Boss and the boys have proven that, like fine wine, some things improve with age.
Supply And Demand has already been chosen as “Coolest Song In The World” on the worldwide syndicated Little Steven’s Underground Radio show. Expect the same from these Dictators – soaring guitars, bombastic drums, and anthemic vocals. The B-side features a raging live version of the MC5 classic, “Kick Out The Jams,” recorded in San Francisco on the band’s latest west coast invasion.

A LIMITED NUMBER OF 7″ RECORDS WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE UPCOMING EUROPEAN TOUR OR THROUGH STRIPED MUSIC!
