THE OUTCASTS (NIR) – on a short trip

In early 1977, a band of brothers became just that: a band. Sick of not being allowed into clubs – and getting barred from five in one week – because of the way they looked, three brothers and a few friends became a clique known as The Outcasts. Within months, they were one of the hottest bands on the emerging Belfast punk scene.
A band that still wants it and gets it. Great to watch live with probably their best years still ahead of them, this band is a legend and a true punkrock unit that wont retire any time soon.
The current line up of the band consists of Originals Greg Cowan on bass and vocals and Martin Cowan on guitar; Buck Defect on guitar and JP ‘Dear Boy Moonie’ on drums are the newbies.

THE YUM YUMS – POPPING UP AGAIN

LOOK OUT! One of Europe’s longest standing power-pop / pop-punk / good-time-rock’n’roll-bands has once again decided to launch a new album on us! They will also take their sugar-filled show on the road, and will be rippin’ it up at a place near YOU!
THE YUM YUMS started in 1993 and they wanted to put a little sunshine and fun back in rock’n’roll by combining the classic sounds of The Ramones, The Beat, The Rubinoos, The Real Kids with the sound of their heroes at the time: The Devil Dogs, The Vacant Lot, Psychotic Youth… and top it off with sprinkles of 60’s girlgroups, surf and even a little bit of 70’s glam.

After some 7″ singles, The Yum Yums released their debut album Sweet As Candy. The album was released on several labels around the world, and received raving reviews! In Norway, the album even got nominated for a Grammy for best rock album. Didn’t win, though…
And their new album «Poppin’ Up Again!» will be released for their spring tour in 2024!

Supersuckers – on another Euro tour

The greatest rock and roll band in the world, the Supersuckers, were founded in 1988 and released their first album “The Smoke of Hell” in 1992 on Seattle’s Sub Pop label. Having arrived on Steamhammer over time, the band’s 13th album, “Play That Rock ‘n’ Roll”, was released in 2020.
After excursions into the cowboy and country realms in recent years, they have returned with snotty rawk ‘n’ roll, with a raised middle finger and the typical Supersuckers sound – a bit of country and a lot of Motörhead.
Now traveling as a trio, they will also delight fans with a European tour in 2024. Songs from the last album, old classics and one or two country songs are part of the program. And lots of coolness.

If you don’t like the Supersuckers, you don’t like Rock-N-Roll.
-Lemmy Kilmister from Motörhead

Sham 69 (Tim V) on tour with a new double album!

For the first time in many years, the band have decided to follow up the success of BLACK DOG with their latest album TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH and its a double too. The album songs reflect as did BLACK DOG the changes not only in society but also in the scene in general. A swath of political insanity both on the streets and in the halls of power. A reflection of our lives as we get older and of all those we have loved and lost over the years. This album is also a salute to both Neil Harris co-founder of SHAM 69 and the sad loss of Tony Feedback, both of whom are no longer with us.
The band was formed in 1975, and with hits such as BORSTAL BREAKOUT and HEY LITTLE RICH BOY being performed in 76-77, the band went on to have others such as HURRY UP HARRY, ANGELS WITH DIRTY FACES and the anthem IF THE KIDS ARE UNITED.
The band had many line up changes but the most notable was Jimmy Pursey’s departure following his sacking in 2006, in which he was immediately replaced by the now vocalist Tim V.
With over 12 line up changes since Punk pundits worldwide have sited this change to be the best yet with the sincerest force since the days of 77 Punk.

Happy holidays 2023!

It is hard to believe, another year has almost passed. 2023 is history in just a few days. We all got, again, a little older, maybe a little lazier, a bit more reflective, perhaps, a bit wiser even, but one thing is for sure, we still know how to rocknroll. And we would like to thank all of you for the support and love in the name of live music, thank you to all the bands, the promoters, the peeps who went to see the shows! You are all awesome! Thanks to everybody that keeps the spirit of rocknroll alive!
Happy holidays everybody and a happy brand new year!

And the new year starts with a tour of the fantastic post punk band NOT SCIENTISTS from France, founded by guitarists Ed and Jim 10 years ago, freshly orphaned from French melodic-punk titans Uncommonmenfrommars. Staring At the Sun is their latest album. It is an ode to New Wave melodies – a tribute to The Cure and Killing Joke – and is the flagship of a band that is driving hard into uncharted seas. These guys know how to write good songs – that’s a fact. Above all, they know how to give them a soul by balancing the power of their sound with the immediacy of refined lyrics. Clear and powerful imagery addresses themes of failure, loneliness, isolation, and mental illness. It is the too-familiar experience of a day-to-day that grinds on to the point of giving up but for the tiny pinprick of light at the end of the tunnel that keeps you clawing forward.
Backed by Kicking Records, Kidnap Records and Rookie Records, Not Scientists have left the beaten path and are careening headlong into the creative underbrush, blazing a new path and leaving shredded convention in their wake.
