Blisterhead is one of Europe’s most hidden gems in the punk rock scene, formed in 1999 in the small towns of Falköping and Skövde, Sweden. Over the years, the band has built a reputation for consistency and passion, releasing five full-length albums and three EPs through respected indie labels such as Kob Records, Mad Butcher Records, Laketown Records, and Alleycat Records. With tours spanning more than 15 countries across Europe, Blisterhead has shared the stage with legendary acts including Millencolin, Toy Dolls, Mad Sin, GBH, and Bombshell Rocks. Known for their energetic and razor-sharp live performances, they are often regarded as one of the most reliable and captivating live bands in the European punk scene. Musically, Blisterhead delivers a unique blend of punk rock and raw rock’n’roll, driven by incredibly strong choruses and infectious melodies that stay with the listener long after the songs end. Their music has gained international exposure with airplay on MTV, and the band has also performed live on television, further cementing their reputation as a powerful live act. In 2021, the release of The Stormy Sea was met with high praise, hailed as one of the standout punk albums of the year, blending melodic energy with a raw punk spirit and drawing comparisons to bands like Bad Religion, Rancid, and Dropkick Murphys.
